If the Vancouver Canucks want to move Roberto Luongo this summer, the veteran netminder wont stand in anyones way. Cheap Jerseys from china . In his final media availability of the season in Vancouver on Tuesday, Luongo told reporters he would be willing to waive his no-trade clause if general manager Mike Gillis asked him to. "Its going to be whats best for the team," said Luongo. "Whatever scenario that is, Im okay with it - whether that involves me being here or not is okay. Weve got a lot of potential in this locker room, theres a great core of guys, and the chance to do something special." "Theyve got a guy [Schneider] here that is going to be a superstar in this league for the next 10, 12, 15 years," said Luongo. "It is a business and thats the way it goes. I loved being here the last six years. I think my career has really taken off and we did some incredible things. If Im here in the future, then great. If Im not, thats good also." Luongo, 33, signed a 12-year, $64 million contract extension with the Canucks in 2009. "I dont want to be one of those guys that will stand in the way of anything, I always want to put the team ahead of me and not be one of those selfish guys," said Luongo. "There havent been any decisions made, but over the course of the next little while well talk to Mike (Gillis) and make that decision." With Luongo in goal, the Canucks won the Presidents Trophy and advanced to the Stanley Cup Final last season, where they fell to the Boston Bruins in seven games. In their regular season rematch on Jan. 7, the Canucks raised a few eyebrows when Schneider got the start - a 4-3 Vancouver win - at TD Banknorth Garden. Luongo played the first two games of the opening round against the Los Angeles Kings in the postseason and the Canucks fell behind 2-0 in the series, prompting head coach Alain Vigneault to go with Schneider the rest of the way. According to TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie, the market might be limited for Luongo if the Canucks decide to deal him because of his contract.  "Luongos contract is a big pill to swallow for a lot of teams, and thats going to affect what the Canucks will get in exchange," McKenzie said on SportsCentre. " If they trade him, the biggest thing theyll get, and its important, is cap space." "We did that some today, too, but overall we grinded." Alfredsson also had an assist and was set up for the winner by Pavel Datsyuk, who had three assists. PINEHURST, N. www.nfljetsus.com/Womens-Jalen-Saunders-Authentic-Jersey/ .C. -- The road Michelle Wie took to a U.S. Womens Open title was unlike any other, and suddenly insignificant. Whether this was a long time coming was the least of her cares. The biggest star in womens golf had her name on the biggest trophy. She never looked happier. "Oh my God, I cant even think straight," Wie said Sunday after a two-shot victory over Stacy Lewis to claim her first major. The final three holes at Pinehurst No. 2 were filled with ups and downs that Wie knows as well as anyone in golf. She responded with a performance worthy of the hype that had been heaped on her since she was a teenager. With a three-shot lead on the 16th hole, Wie nearly threw it all away with one poor decision, only keeping the lead by making a nervy 5-foot putt for double bogey. And right when it looked as though this would end badly, the 24-year-old from Hawaii responded with the putt of her life that made her a Womens Open champion. Facing a 25-foot birdie putt on 17 that was fast and dangerous, Wie pumped her fist when it fell, then pounded her fist twice to celebrate the moment. "That kind of emotion, that kind of pressure ... Ill think of that putt as one of the best putts Ive ever hit in my life," she said. A par on the 18th gave her an even-par 70 to beat Lewis, the No. 1 player in womens golf who made Wie earn it. Lewis made eight birdies -- the most in a final round by a male for female in the U.S. Open -- and closed with a 66. Sixteen-year-old Brooke Henderson of Smiths Falls, Ont., shot a 69 in the final round to finish in a tie for 10th place. Lewis was on the range preparing for a playoff when her caddie told her Wie made birdie on the 17th. Moments later, Lewis was on the 18th green to hug Wie. Like most players, she was perplexed why Wie would spend so much time trying to compete against the men when she still didnt have an LPGA Tour card. They are friends now and practice frequently. Lewis said she wasnt the last bit surprised that Wie delivered such a clutch moment. "I think that scene on 18, being on network TV, as many people as we had around there at Pinehurst No. 2 and Michelle Wie winning the golf tournament, I dont think you can script it any better," Lewis said. "I think its great for the game of golf. I think its even better for womens golf. Im so happy for Michelle Wie. I mean this has been such a long time coming for her." Wie had chance to win this title when she was a 15-year-old amateur at Cherry Hills, and a 16-year-old pro at Newport. The last time she was in this area, she opened with an 82 at Pine Needles in 2007 and walked off the course the next day because of injuries. She had been one of the biggest stars in womens golf since she was 13 and played in the final group of a major. Her popularity soared along with criticism when she competed against the men on the PGA Tour while still in high school and talked about wanting to play in the Masters. That seems like a lifetime ago. The 6-foot Wie is all grown up. She is a Stanford graduate, popular among pros of both genders, and now a major champion. "I cant believe this is happening," Wie said. It almost didnt. Just like her so much of her life, the path included a sharp twist no one saw coming. Wie started the final round tied with Amy Yang, took the lead when Yang made double bogey on No. 2 and didnt let anyone catch her the rest of the day. In trouble on the tough fourth hole, she got up-and-down from 135 yards with an 8-iron into 3 feet. Right when Lewis was making a big run, Wie answered by ripping a drive on the shortened par-5 10th and hitting a cut 8-iron into 10 feet for eagle and a four-shot lead. She had not made a bogey since the first hole -- and then it all nearly unravelled. From a fairway bunker on the 16th, holding a three-shot lead, she stayed aggressive and hit hybrid from the sand. "I was kind of a dummy for not laying up when I was in that situation," she said. "And it kind of bit me in the butt. But I laughed it off. Stuff like that does happen." The only time panic began to set in was when no one could find her ball. It finally was located after a three-minute search, buried in a wiregrass bush. She quickly and wisely took a penalty drop behind her in the fairway to limit the damage, chipped to about 35 feet and ran that putt some 5 feet by the hole. Miss it and she would be tied. Bent over in that table-top putting stance, she poured it in to avoid her first three-putt of the week. Smiling as she left the green, she hit 8-iron to 25 feet and delivered a putt that will surely rank among the highlights in U.S. Womens Open history. Wie finished at 2-under 278, the only player to beat par in the second week of championship golf at Pinehurst. Martin Kaymer won by eight shots last week at 9-under 271, the second-lowest score in U.S. Open history. Juli Inkster, playing her 35th and final U.S. Womens Open, closed with a 75 to tie for 15th. She received the loudest ovation of the week walking up the 18th, until Wie arrived as the winner. What a journey. "I think that without your downs, without the hardship, I dont think you appreciate the ups and much as you do," Wie said, the gleaming trophy at her side. "I think the fact that I struggled so much, the fact that I kind of went through a hard period of my life, the fact that this trophy is right next to me, it means so much more to me than it ever would have when I was 15. AMES, Iowa -- With about 9 minutes left in Iowa States game with TCU, Georges Niang of the Cyclones caught teammate Melvin Ejim looking up at the giant scoreboard that hangs over the centre of the court. Jason Verrett Chargers Jersey . "Im like, whats he looking at?" Niang said. "I looked up and he had 35 (points) and I was like, holy smoke, this could be a crazy night." That it was. Ejim scored a Big 12-record 48 points, making 20 of 24 shots, and grabbed a career-high 18 rebounds to lead No. 16 Iowa State past TCU 84-69 on Saturday, keeping the Horned Frogs winless in the conference. Ejim had two 3-pointers and six dunks during his big game, one on a spectacular fast-break lob from DeAndre Kane that gave the Cyclones (18-4, 6-4 Big 12) a 67-52 lead and effectively put the game out of reach. "It was teamwork," Ejim said. "These guys just did a great job finding me in transition and getting me the ball in places where I could score. They made really selfless plays. We were just giving up the ball and luckily, I was on the receiving end." A 6-foot-6 senior, Ejim scored 20 straight Iowa State points during one stretch in the second half and easily notched his 30th career double-double. He padded his lead in the Big 12 scoring race with a performance that topped the previous conference record of 44 points by Kansas States Denis Clemente in 2009 and the Wildcats Michael Beasley in 2008. His previous high had been 23 points against Oklahoma last season. Iowa States school record is 54 by Lafester Rhodes in an overtime victory over Iowa in 1987. Iowa State coach Fred Hoiberg, who once scored 41 in a game for the Cyclones, said Ejims record is all the more impressive considering it came in a league that has produced the likes of Kevin Durant and Blake Griffin. "All the great players that have gone through this league and Melvin Ejims name is at the top," he said. "Thats unbelievable for a guy that maybe doesnt get as much credit as he deserves. The Cyclones needed those points because TCU (9-13, 0-10) kept matching them basket for basket down the stretch. Ejim stayed in the game until 19.9 seconds were left, when he left to a lengthy standing ovation. "We were just playing," he said. "I wasnt really looking up to see how much I had. These guys just kept telling me to be aggressive, keep playing. I think I figured it out when they started chanting my name." Niang added 11 points and Kane finished with 10 assists for the Cyclones, who avoided a letdown after their thrilling three-overtime victory at Oklahoma State on Monday, their first win in Stillwater since 1988. Kyan Anderson led the Horned Frogs with 27 points and eight assists. Amric Fields scored 18 points and Karviar Shepherd had 11 for TCU, which was coming off single-digit losses to Texas Tech and No. 15 Texas, but could not keep up with the Cyclones and the high-flying Ejim. "I got back to Melvin back on (Big 12) media day," TCU coach Trent Johnson said. "He is one of my favourite college basketball players in the country this year. I think he is really underrated. He is a hell of a kid, at least from the interaction Ive had with him. He plays extremely hard and he is very efficient." The game was expected to offer a break for the Cyclones after they played four straight against Top 25 teams and eight in a row against teams that were ranked at one time or another. But the Horned Frogs proved to be a little more stubborn than anticipated despite a horrible start. TCU gave up the ball on a shot clock violation on the games first possession, Dustin Hogue followed with a 3-pointer and Iowa State led from then on as the Horned Frogs missed nine of their first 10 shots. Despite some sloppy play at times, the Cyclones built a 16-point lead late in the first half, then had the lead whittled to seven before Ejim went on his tear to wrap it up. TCU shot 29.6 per cent in the first half and did not have more baskets than turnovers until Anderson hit the second of two straight 3-pointers with 45 seconds left in the first half, cutting the lead to 32-22. "We battled," Johnson said. "For us to be within striking distance with about four minutes to go, I cant fault what our kids did." www.authenticchargersshop.com/Jason-Verrett-Chargers-Jersey . Lions quarterback Travis Lulay, the leagues Most Oustanding Player, found Kierrie Johnson and Arland Bruce for touchdowns in the second half helping the Lions to a 34-23 victory over the Blue Bombers. Lulay was named Grey Cup MVP after he completed 21 of his 37 passes for 320 yards and two scores. The Lions pivot also added eight yards on the ground. "I missed a few throws that I havent missed in a while, especially in the first half, and that unfortunately ended some drives. But its a championship game, and youve just got to keep on fighting and in the end its feels pretty sweet," said Lulay. The Lions are the first team in CFL history to start the season with five straight losses and go on to win the Grey Cup and they did so in impressive fashion. They also accomplished the feat on home soil, the first time a team has done that since the Lions in 1994. "This is so special to win it at home - it feels amazing," stated wide receiver Geroy Simon. "To come from where we came from and win the Grey Cup, its the best feeling in the world." "Its been a tough, tough journey for this football club,"said head coach Wally Buono, who took home his fifth Grey Cup as a coach. "Im extremely proud of the players, the coaches, the whole organization. We all stuck together when a lot of people were counting us out." B.C. opened the game strong and held the lead from start to finish. Lions running back Andrew Harris broke free for a 19-yard touchdown run midway through the first quarter, capping off a five-play, 45-yard drive to give B.C. an early 7-0 lead. Harris had 65 yards rushing for the Lions offence and helped provide a nice compliment to the Lions aerial attack. Veteran kicker Paul McCallum connected on four of his five field goal attempts, including his longest of the day, a 34-yarder, which gave the Lions a two-score lead late in the fourth quarter. Blue Bombers quarterback Buck Pierce struggled early in the game. The former Lion was intercepted by linebacker Anton McKenzie in the first quarter. In a matchup of the CFLs top two defences, points proved hard to come by, especially for the Blue Bombers. Lulay continued to capitalize off the solid field position provided the BB. Jeremiah Attaochu Jersey. C. defence, helping the Lions to a 14-0 lead in the second quarter. Pierce settled down after his early interception and helped the Bombers get into field goal range twice in the first half, with kicker Justin Palardy making good on both attempts. The Bombers fought hard, but trailed 14-6 at half-time. A 41-yard punt return by defensive back Jovon Johnson in the third quarter gave the Bombers their best field position of the day and led to Palardys third field goal of the game pulled the score to 14-9. The Lions quickly moved in position to respond with a field goal of their won, but McCallum clanged his 48-yard attempt off upright. When B.C. got the ball back, Lulay directed the offence back onto Winnipegs side of the field, helped by a 15-yard penalty on Odell Willis for a horse collar tackle. The drive set up another field goal kick from McCallum and this time the veteran made good on the 22-yarder. "Travis was a little bit better with his throws [in the second half]," remarked Buono. "He was a little anxious. He did play with a pulled groin and I think that affected his throwing. "[Travis] has been a warrior all year and he didnt let it affect him. He made some great plays and some great throws when it counted." Lulay went deep near the end of the third quarter, finding Johnson for a 66-yard strike. The touchdown was Johnsons first of his career and helped swing the momentum back into B.C.s favour. Bruce was the recipient of another Lulay touchdown pass, giving the Lions a healthy 31-9 lead in the fourth quarter. "We started out slow in the first half, but we kept our composure, took a deep breath and in the second half came out and stuck together, put some drives together, and we did it," said Bruce. The Blue Bombers mounted a comeback late in the game thanks to two second half touchdowns from Pierce to Greg Carr and Terrence Edwards, respectively, but time ran out on the East representatives. This was the third time the two clubs played this season, with the Blue Bombers having emerged victorious in the first two contests. Both games took place early in the season and the Lions were clearly a different team this time around. Coming off of a 30-17 defeat at the hands of the Bombers in Week 7, the Lions clawed back from their 1-6 start to win all but one of their next 13 games, including Sundays Grey Cup victory. ' ' '

ANAHEIM, Calif. Bryan Stork Patriots Jersey . - The width of Alec Martinezs shin guard was the difference between the Los Angeles Kings and the Anaheim Ducks in their playoff series opener. Corey Perry had the puck on his stick with a nearly open net early in overtime, but Martinez managed to block the shot by the Ducks best goal-scorer. It happened in an instant, but both players were still thinking about the pivotal play a day later as they prepared for Game 2 on Monday night. "I guess I channeled my inner goalie, playing in the driveway when I was younger," Martinez said Sunday after the latest round of congratulations for his game-saving block. "I just tried to get in front of it, and maybe got a little bit lucky, too." No hockey game turns on one play, and the Kings wouldnt have even made it to overtime without Marian Gaboriks tying goal with 7 seconds left in regulation in their 3-2 win. Several minutes after Martinezs big save, Gaboriks game-winner put the Kings up 1-0 in the second round with their fifth consecutive playoff victory. Both teams expect a long, taxing series between evenly matched opponents with a thorough mutual familiarity. They wont be surprised if more games in the series come down to one blocked shot, one extra pass or one big save. Perry still wont soon forget his missed opportunity to put the Ducks in front in the series. "Ive seen it a few times," said a grimacing Perry, who scored 43 goals in the regular season and two more in the first round against Dallas. "I was up for a while. You think about what it could have been. "He made a great play," Perry added. "I thought I had an open net, and obviously I tried to put it in, but he just got his leg on it, and I missed the rebound. Hopefully its a different bounce next time." Even before the late theatrics, the Southern California rivals first playoff meeting was every bit as entertaining as expected. The Kings have little trouble winning on the road, while the Ducks were a dominant home team this season — but neither team is likely to have a distinct home-ice advantage. "I thought the atmosphere was great," Kings forward Justin Williams said. "A lot of times when youre on the road, all you want to hear is silence. But there wasnt even much silence when we scored. There was a lot of Kings fans there and a lot of support for us, so that was the extra added element to the game. Usually when you score an overtime goal, its crickets in the building, and we heard a little something, so Kings fans are making their way down the freeway." Perry, Ryan Getzlaf and Teemu Selanne all had big moments for the Ducks, who controlled play for long stretches and got a strong performance from new starting goalie Jonas Hiller. Anaheim still couldnt capitalize on its opportunities to pull away, failing to crack the NHLs best defence with its habitually struggling power play. The Ducks might have more offensive ability than the Kings, but they also know it wont matter unless it leads to goals. "We didnt bury our few chances," Getzlaf said. "I dont think theyve changed much. Theyre still the team we know. Theyve just upped their intensity, and weve got to match it." The defence-minded Kings have been impressive offensively during their playoff winning streak. Los Angeles has 21 goals in its last five games, and Anze Kopitar has become the post-seasons leading scorer so far. The Kings are scoring well, but their defensive depth became even shallower in victory: Veteran defenceman Jeff Schultz could make his debut for Los Angeles in Game 2 if injured Willie Mitchell and Robyn Regehr must sit out. Down to five healthy defencemen for much of Game 1 at Honda Center, the Kings still managed to limit the Ducks to two goals. "I had a little chat with (coach Darryl Sutter), and he said, Just go out there and play," said Schultz, who played for Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau in Washington during his 399 games of NHL experience. "Its hard to replace a guy like Robyn, but I feel like Im capable of doing a similar job to what he can do." Jimmy Garoppolo Womens Jersey . Its Canadas first medal of the Games. MONTREAL -- Tuukka Rask didnt look like the goalie who has had fits trying to beat the rival Montreal Canadiens. cheap nfl jerseys . Rask stoned Max Pacioretty and Alex Galchenyuk on first period breakaways and went on to help the Bruins stretch their winning streak to six games with a 4-1 victory over the Canadiens on Wednesday night. His 35-save effort was only his third win in 15 career games against Montreal. "They had a couple of breakaways, but we kept it on the outside pretty good," said Rask, who ended Bostons five-game losing run against the Canadiens dating to last season. After weathering an all-out Montreal attack in the opening period, Carl Soderberg, Patrice Bergeron and Milan Lucic scored in the second as Boston capitalized on every Montreal mistake. Zdeno Chara also scored as the Bruins (43-17-5) improved to 9-1-2 in their last dozen games and extended a run without a regulation loss on the road to 11 games. "Hes been great all year," winger Brad Marchand, who had two assists, said of Rask. "Hes the guy we look to be big for us. "We didnt worry about anything thats happened in the past. Its more about how weve been playing lately. We focused on how we have to play." With 91 points, the Bruins moved to within one point of idle Pittsburgh for the Eastern Conference lead. They return to Boston to face the Phoenix Coyotes on Thursday night. "Were in this building and they come at us with a full court press," said Lucic. "Tuukka kept us in there. "Whenever we can withstand that pressure it gives us a chance to win. We did that and we were able to get a few good shifts in at the end of the first that carried over into the second period." David Desharnais replied for Montreal (35-25-7), which has lost three in a row and is 3-4-1 without injured No. 1 goalie Carey Price since the Olympic break. Montreal outshot Boston 36-32. As dominant as the Bruins have been, they often struggle against the Canadiens and it showed in the first period as Montreal held a 13-6 shot advantage. "We felt good about how we pushed the play in the first period and we wanted to play the same way," said coach Michel Therrien. "Obviously, after their first goal, we have to respond better." Only 1:33 into the second frame, rookie Jarred Tinordi misplayed a puck off a faceoff and Soderberg was alone in front to score. Boston went on a counterattack after Andrei Markov fell and Bergeron finished off a give-and-go with Marchand at 9:25. Lucic bumped Alexei Emelin off the puck and then trailed in on a rush to score on a routine shot that got between Peter Budajs pads for his 20th of the season at 18:32. Chara got another only 23 seconds into the third when he broke in from the point and put in his own rebound. Montreal finally got one as Desharnais found the puck in a scramble with newcomer Thomas Vanek tying up traffic in the crease. It was Vaneks first point in three games since he was acquired in a NHL trade deadline deal last week. And it was Montreals first goal in seven periods since a 3-1 loss in Phoenix last Thursday. Therrien tweaked his lines in the third period, notably moving Vanek to the first line with Pacioretty, and will consider changes to help his team find the net. "Im trying to find a solution to scoring," he said. "Were creating chances, but we cant finish right now." The surprise number of the night was 24:03. That was the ice time of Montreal defenceman Francis Bouillon, which led all players both teams. Bouillon, replacing injured Josh Gorges, was dressed for the first time since the Olympic break and had been a healthy scratch for eight games. He finished even in plus-minus. The NFL Combine wrapped up this week and the impact on the mock drafts and predictions around the league is already being felt. Jeremiah Attaochu Blue Jersey . While some players merely solidified their standing on big boards and mock drafts, several others saw their Combine results either boost or drop their placing in the mind of scouts and general managers across the league. Some notes from the NFL Combine Two-Horse Race A look at the most recent batch of mock drafts has two players showing up more often than any others at the top spot. One wont surprise you – South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney – but one certainly could – UCF quarterback Blake Bortles. While questions about his work ethic may knock Clowney out of the top spot, his blistering 40-yard dash time (4.53) ensures that if he does fall, it wont be very far. Bortles meanwhile impressed both on the field and off. Almost all draftniks and experts consider the once unknown QB to be a legit top end prospect. Of the 15 expert mock drafts gathered for TSN.cas database, Bortles had the most first overall picks of any player. Quarterback Battle While mock drafters are slotting Bortles into the first pick (owned by the Houston Texans) more than any other quarterback, that doesnt necessarily mean hes viewed as the top quarterback. Of the 15 expert mock drafts culled by TSN.ca, Bortles had just the third highest average draft position. First was Texas A&Ms Johnny Manziel with an ADP of 3.1 followed by Louisvilles Teddy Bridgewater (3.9) and then Bortles at 4.7. Dont Forget Me While hes not in the same boat as Manziel, Bridgewater, or Bortles, Fresno States Derek Carr reportedly had a very strong NFL Combine showing, particularly while interviewing with teams. At this point Carr appears to be a mid-first round pick at best but his showing has some quarterback-needy teams considering passing on one of the top three QBs early in the draft to fill other positions, while hoping to land Carr later on. There are reports the gap between the Big Three and Carr is not very wide. Moving Up The biggest benefactors of the NFL Combine, among the early picks at least, were Auburn OT Greg Robinson and Buffalo LB Khalil Mack. Robinsons athleticism seems to have solidified him as the top offensive tackle on the board and boosted his projected status from Top 10 pick to Top 5. Robinson could even hear his name as early as second overall to the St. Louis Rams. Mack is another former potential Top 10 pick that could easily find his way into the Top 5 come May. While his destination is hard to pinpoint at this point in the evaluation process, respected NFL Network draftnik Mike Mayock said he would consider Mack with the first overall pick. Thats high praise! Moving Down The rise of Robinson and Mack is having adverse effects on players of similar talent at the same position of the two in Jake Matthews and Anthony Barr. Once considered two of the top three players in the draft (alongside Clowney) by some, Matthews and Barr are no longer locks to be Top 5 picks and thats in large part due to Robinson proving hes the better offensive tackle, and Mack proving hes far closer to Clowney than originally thought. At this point it wouldnt be shocking to see Barr fall out of the Top 10 picks (ADP currently 8.9) while even Matthews could see himself suffer the same fate (ADP currently 5.9) the way things are playing out. To be fair, in Barrs case, Mack isnt the sole reason the UCLA pass rushers stock is falling; only 15 reps on the bench press could scare away a few teams. Lions targeting a CB The Detroit Lions need help at cornerback and most draftniks expect them to get it at the draft. Of the expert mock drafts culled by TSN.ca, 86% of them have the Lions taking a cornerback 10th overall. The only question in their minds is if it will be Oklahoma States Justin Gilbert, taken by the Lions in 53% of mock drafts, or Michigan States Darqueze Dennard, taken by Detroit in 33% of mock drafts. The current draft landscape lays out with a slight drop off after the top nine players. From there its still anyones guess as to who leads the second tier of players. Many mock drafters see the Lions filling a need and taking whichever cornerback they have ranked the highest. Wide Receiver Battle This position battle is unlike the quarterback battle as Clemson standout Sammy Watkins is the clear cut top pass catcher in this years draft. The battle is for the second best receiver with USCs Marqise Lee losing his spot to Texas A&Ms Mike Evans in 80% of mock drafts gathered. The receiver class is very deep this year with good pass catchers still likely to be available midway through the second round and if Lee finds himself engulfed in the second tier of receivers, hes no lock to hear his name on the first day of the NFL Draft. The true battle could be between Evans and North Carolina tight end Eric Ebron. The difference between their ADP is currently only a couple of picks (Evans: 13.8 to Ebron:16.0). Dustin Brown had a goal and an assist and Jonathan Quick made 25 saves as the Los Angeles Kings made it back-to-back wins Thursday night with a 2-0 victory over the Flames. DALLAS -- Monta Ellis struggled with his shot for most of the game. His big 2-minute outburst in the fourth quarter Tuesday night is all that really mattered for the Dallas Mavericks. Ellis scored 10 consecutive points on five shots after coming back on the floor, two of them after making steals. That helped the Mavericks avoid their longest home losing streak in 14 years with a 110-97 victory over the slumping and injury-plagued Los Angeles Lakers, who lost for the eighth time in nine games. "Monta had a rough game to that point offensively, although he had quite a few assists," coach Rick Carlisle said. "We needed a spark, he made plays. ... That spurt, that got us the win." Ellis, who finished with 16 points and nine assists, was 2-of-11 shooting before his five baskets in a row stretched the Dallas lead from eight to 13 with 5:44 left. He then had assists on the next two Mavericks baskets. "I stayed with it," Ellis said. "I kept attacking the basket and kept taking my shot, and eventually they started going down." Dirk Nowitzki scored 27 points to lead the Mavericks, who had lost four in a row at home. They hadnt won in their own arena since beating Memphis the week before Christmas. The last time Dallas lost more than four straight at home was a six-game slide that ended in January 2000, not long before Mark Cuban bought the team. "I actually looked for us to play a lot better from start to finish. It just didnt go that way," Carlisle said. "It just was a struggling night." Still, the Mavericks shot 53 per cent from the field and had 32 assist on 48 baskets. They had 17 steals and 12 turnovers. Mav forward Shawn Marion, who started after being questionable because of ankle and Achilles issues, left with a bruised right shoulder after a hard fall just before halftime after he got tangled up with Pau Gasol and tripped over Nowitzki. X-rays were negative, but Marion wont travel with the team for Wednesday nights game at San Antonio. "Hes banged up," Carlisle said "Hes played hurt plenty of timees, but he took a bad fall.Chris Watt Jersey. ." Nowitzki had three baskets on passes from Gal Mekel in a 59-second span early in the second quarter to put Dallas up 43-39. Nowitzki started the span with a running layup before consecutive 11-foot jumpers that sandwiched a 3-pointer by Jodie Meeks. Meeks, who led the Lakers with 24 points, made two free throws with 8:07 left in the first half to tie the game at 43, but Jose Calderons 3-pointer on a pass from Marion put the Mavericks ahead to stay. "Weve got some guys who are struggling right now, and some guys playing well," Lakers coach Mike DAntoni said. "Then in the next game, the guys who were struggling play well and the others start struggling." Vince Carter scored 19 points for Dallas, DeJuan Blair added 15 and Calderon 12. Kendall Marshall had 18 points for the Lakers, while Wesley Johnson added 17. Gasol had 15 points and 13 rebounds. Since a 3-0 road trip that ended New Years Day at Washington, the Mavericks had lost two more home games. The last was 92-80 to the New York Knicks on Sunday when they were held to their season-low scoring output. Los Angeles is without Kobe Bryant (left knee), Steve Nash (back), Steve Blake (torn ulnar collateral ligament) and Jordan Farmar (left hamstring tear). Nash has missed 27 consecutive games, and Bryant has been out 10 straight since playing in his only six games this season. "Its tough. Im trying my best to get us going," said Nick Young, who is dealing with his own back issue. "The more we keep getting buried, its harder to get back. Weve still got to stay with it, stay a team. There aint nowhere to go but up." NOTES: Dallas is 4-5 in the first of back-to-back games this season. The Mavs play at San Antonio on Wednesday night. They then get one day off before another back-to-back, at New Orleans on Friday night and then hosting the Pelicans on Saturday night. ... Marshall had 32 assists in his first two starts for the Lakers. He had six assists with six turnovers against Dallas. ' ' '

WHERE YOU SHOULD DRIVE IT Short answer, everywhere! There is no chance this car sits in your driveway for more than 8 hours at a time, its just too pretty.www.authenticpatriotsshop.com/James-White-Patriots-Jersey . However, in this case, it all depends on what model you have. If you have the drop top, any coastline will do. What a perfect car to let everyone see your sick flow that you have been growing all winter. If you have the coupe, driving in any city downtown at night is the way to go. The coupe is a very angry, yet sophisticated looking car. Which will almost directly reflect the person driving it. Sophisticated because he or she lives downtown, and angry because the roads are so bad.SOUNDTRACK FOR THE RIDEAgain, this all depends on whether you have the coupe or the vert. If you dont have a roof might I suggest some British bands like the Beatles or The Rolling Stones, basically any artist that is British because I feel like it will make the car happy, it will make you happy too. If you drive the hard top, theres only one track that comes to mind, the James Bond theme music! Jaguars have been featured in many Bond movies, but oddly enough, Bond himself never drove one, but I feel like he would want to drive this. FUN FACTS The entire body is made of aluminum; the whole side of the car is actually one cold-molded piece of metal. Jaguar uses this technique to achieve super strong, yet lightweight body parts. The coupe also comes with the option of an aluminum roof or a panoramic glass roof panel; torsional rigidity is identical regardless of which roof is fitted. Like music? Like listening to it loudly? Well then this car is for you, as one of the options is a 770-watt Meridian audio system. Carimi was a first-round pick by Chicago in 2011. He started 16 gammes in two seasons with the Bears, including 14 in 2012.www.authenticpatriotsshop.com/Dominique-Easley-Patriots-Jersey. Carimi was traded to Tampa Bay before the 2013 season, and he started three of 14 games at guard in 2013. He was recently released by Tampa Bay before signing with Atlanta late Monday. VALLS, Spain -- Slovenian cyclist Luka Mezgec earned his third stage win of this Volta a Catalunya, edging the pack in the final sprint on Friday.authenticpatriotsshop.com/Dominique-Easley-Patriots-Jersey . Joaquim Rodriguez maintained the overall lead, with the 218-kilometre (134-mile) ride from Llanars Vall de Camprodon to Valls producing no changes at the top of the general classification. Mezgec, riding for Giant-Shimano, finished the stage in 5 hours, 16 minutes at the front of a large pack. He also won the two opening stages of the seven-day race with sprint finishes. Rodriguez kept his four-second lead over Alberto Contador. Tejay van Garderen remained seven seconds behind. Nairo Quintana trailed by 10 seconds and Tour de France winner Christopher Froome was 17 seconds off the pacesetter. "I hope I can reach the final day with the same advantage," said Rodriguez, who won the Volta in 2010. "We will have to be very attentive and stay focused." Contador downplayed his chances of overtaking Rodriguez. "The remaining course leaves very little margin," Contador said. "For me, the important thing is to recover physically from these tiring days." Saturdays sixth stage will take riders over 172 kilometres (107 miles) from El Vendrell to Vilanova i la Geltru. James Young scored 18 points and Aaron Harrison added 15 for the Wildcats (7-1), who shot 64.3 per cent from the field (27 of 42) and led by as many as 17 points in the second half. Bryce Cotton had 23 points for the Friars (7-2), who finished 10 of 19 (52.6 per cent) from 3-point range. They came into the game shooting just 29.4 per cent from beyond the arc and were averaging only five 3s per game. Kentucky, which had the majority of the crowd of 8,086 cheering for it, also had an exceptional game from 3-point range. The Wildcats were 6 of 8 from beyond the arc, decidedly better than the 28.9 per cent they were shooting from there entering the game. Julius Randle, the highest profile of the eight-man freshman class at Kentucky, scored 12 points on 4-of-10 shooting and grabbed eight rebounds. He had a double-double in each of his seven games this season tying Jim Andrews in 1971-72 for the most by a Kentucky player at the start of a season. Dominique Easley Kids Jersey. . Providence continued to go inside but the bigger Wildcats made it a rough trip and the Friars kept firing from long range. Cauley-Stein was 7 of 8 from the field, while Harrison was 7 of 9 and Young 5 of 7 including going 3 of 4 from 3-point range for the Wildcats, whose only loss was as the No. 1 team in the nation to Michigan State, which moved up one spot to the top with the win. This game started a December that will have the Wildcats face No. 18 Baylor, No. 16 North Carolina and No. 9 Louisville in addition to Boise State and Belmont. Providence was without sophomore guard Kris Dunn who missed his second straight game with a right shoulder injury. No timetable has been set for his return. The Friars only loss this season was to Maryland in the championship game of the Paradise Jam. This was the second meeting between the schools and the first was played across the East River. Kentucky beat Providence 79-78 in the 1976 NIT at Madison Square Garden. ' ' '

BROOKLYN, Mich. Sammy Watkins Jersey . -- Jimmie Johnson finally won a NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Michigan International Speedway. The six-time series champion won Sunday for the first time in 25 Cup starts at MIS, outlasting pole winner Kevin Harvick by 1.214 seconds. It was Johnsons third victory in four races -- and the fifth in a row for Chevrolet and Hendrick Motorsports. Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr. also have won for Chevy and Hendrick during the streak that doesnt count Jamie McMurrays win for Chevy in the Sprint All-Star race last month. Brad Keselowski finished third Sunday after two straight runner-up showings at Dover and Pocono. Paul Menard was fourth, followed by Kasey Kahne, Gordon and Earnhardt in the 400-mile, 200-lap race. Johnson had finished in the top five four times previously at Michigan, including a second-place showing in August 2011. He lost in August 2012 when his engine faltered with six laps remaining. Johnson led after 164 laps Sunday before stopping to pit and giving up the lead. He was back in front with about 10 laps to go following a cycle of pit stops by other drivers, and the No. 48 Chevy led by a comfortable margin down the stretch. Hendrick had four drivers in the top seven. Johnson is trying for his seventh Cup title, which would tie the mark shared by Richard Petty and the late Dale Earnhardt. This was his 69th career victory, and hes the first driver with three wins in 2014. There are now only four tracks on the current schedule where Johnson has never won -- Kentucky, Watkins Glen, Chicagoland and Homestead-Miami. Its the third time Hendrick has won five straight races. The team accomplished the feat twice in 2007, including a six-race streak. Gordons sixth-place finish was enough to keep him atop the points race, with Johnson moving up two spots to second. Ford had won the last three Cup races at Michigan, with Joey Logano prevailing last August and Greg Biffle winning twice before that. Keselowski couldnt extend that streak, and Logano finished ninth. It was a rough day for Roush Fenway Racing, which has a record 13 Cup victories at Michigan. Biffle finished 20th and Carl Edwards was 23rd. Preston Brown Jersey . "I dont think anybody saw that coming," Nava said, describing the "tempered excitement" in the dugout as the bases filled and emptied during a six-run ninth inning that gave Boston an 8-7 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Thursday night. "You could see it happening, but it was still too far off." By the time the Red Sox batted around the order, and Nava came up again, the score was tied, the bases were loaded and there was still only one out. Nava lined a long single over the centre fielder to bring the Boston players out of the dugout for the increasingly familiar celebration. One night after winning in 15 innings for their major league-leading 10th walkoff victory, the Red Sox did it again to sweep Seattle and open a one-game lead in the AL East over the idle Tampa Bay Rays. "We dont quit. Ever," Red Sox manager John Farrell said. "We truly believe we have a chance to do something special on a given night or given year. And that happens to be this year." Henry Blanco hit a grand slam, and Felix Hernandez allowed six hits before leaving after seven innings with a 7-1 lead. Kendrys Morales had four hits and a pair of walks, and Kyle Seager and Brad Miller tripled for the Mariners, who have lost 17 games in the opponents final at-bat -- including eight walkoff losses. "Weve been through this before," first baseman Justin Smoak said, "too many times." Hernandez seemed to be cruising to his seventh consecutive victory, but the Red Sox scored one in the eighth against Charlie Furbush and then cut it to 7-3 against closer Tom Wilhelmsen in the ninth. Perez (2-3) came on with the bases loaded and nobody out, giving up Shane Victorinos two-run single and an RBI base hit to Dustin Pedroia that made it 7-6. David Ortiz struck out, then Jonny Gomes singled off Yoervis Medina to tie it. Stephen Drew, who provided the decisive hit on Wednesday night, walked to load the bases before Nava hit a ball off the garage door in centre field as the Red Sox celebrated. "We were trying to forget what happened yesterday," said Perez, who blew a seventh-inning lead on Wednesday night and took the loss on Thursday even though he was the only one of the three relievers who pitched in the ninth to record an out. Sammy Watkins Womens Jersey. "We just couldnt complete three outs. Everything went their way in the ninth." Steven Wright (2-0) pitched three scoreless innings in relief of Ryan Dempster. Victorino homered for Boston, which was in danger of falling out of first place, percentage points behind the Rays, in the AL East. On the day that Jake Peavy arrived in the dugout to bolster the Boston pitching staff for the stretch run, Dempster, a native of Gibsons, B.C., made a case to lose his spot in the rotation. He gave up seven runs on nine hits and five walks, striking out six in six innings. It was 2-1 after Jacoby Ellsbury doubled and scored in the third, but Dempster ran into trouble against Blanco -- a .189 hitter -- in the fifth. With Hall of Famer Carlton Fisk watching from the luxury boxes, the Mariners catcher hit a line drive over the Green Monster just inside the left-field foul pole to give Seattle a 7-1 lead. Hernandez, who had yet to record a 1-2-3 inning, then set down the Red Sox in order in the fifth and sixth innings. Notes: Hernandez allowed one run and walked two and struck out eight. He hasnt lost since May 25 and has allowed more than two earned runs just twice in 12 starts since then. ... Blancos only other homer this season was also a grand slam, against Oakland on June 15. It was the third grand slam of his career. ... Gomes received a standing ovation when he came off the field in the middle of the ninth after throwing one runner out at third and making a catch while crashing into the Green Monster. ... Seattles Endy Chavez stranded seven runners in his first three at-bats and eight in all. ... The Red Sox have won nine straight home games against the Mariners. ... The Red Sox havent scored first in their last nine home games. ... The previous nine homers Dempster had allowed were solo shots. ... Hernandez allowed one or fewer runs for the 97th time in his career -- the most in the majors since 2005. ... Boston added Peavy to the 40-man roster on Thursday and recalled right-hander Wright from Triple-A Pawtucket. The club also optioned righty Jose De La Torre to Pawtucket. Brandon Workman was optioned to Pawtucket after Wednesday nights game. ' ' '

GREEN BAY, Wis. Chris Watt Jersey . -- Even though the Green Bay Packers got a bargain the last time they signed Jordy Nelson to a contract extension, the veteran wide receiver said Tuesday he still would prefer to sign another deal before the season rather than playing out the final year of his contract. Nelson, who caught 85 passes for 1,314 yards last season, both career bests, said he doesnt know if his agent, Vann McElroy, and the Packers have had any meaningful conversations about an extension. "Hes not going to just bug me with it," he said. "Hell let me know when it gets close." The last time Nelson, a second-round pick in 2008, was in a contract year was in 2011, when he signed a three-year, $13.989 million extension in October. That deal included $5 million in guaranteed money, including a $3.5 million signing bonus. That deal paid Nelson a base salary of $2.7 million last year, and calls for him to make a base salary of $3.05 million in 2014. In terms of annual average salary, Nelson currently ranks 34th on the wide receiver pay scale league-wide entering 2014. But he indicated Tuesday that hes anxious to get a new deal simply because he wants the peace of mind. "You want it done so you and your family are comfortable, you want it done so you dont have to worry about it," he said. "I think on both sides. They get it done they can start working on someone else." That someone else is fourth-year wide receiver Randall Cobb, a second-round pick in 2011 who is going into the final year of his rookie deal. Cobb missed 10 games last season with a leg injury, but he returned in time to catch the playoffs-clinching touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers on a fourth-down play at Chicago in the regular-season finale last year. "Im not a businessman so I dont really know that side of it," Cobb said of his situation. "Thats what I have an agent for - for him to handle that kind of thing. Thats for the Packers to decide and figure out." It appears Nelson is the priority, and after Chicagos Brandon Marshall signed a four-year, $39.3 million extension ($22.3 million guaranteed) with the Bears last month, Nelsons market should be set. Marshall caught 100 passes for 1,295 yards and 12 TDs last season for the Bears. Marshall turned 30 in March; Nelson turned 29 last week. Asked if he feels additional pressure in a contract year, Nelson replied, "No. I dont think so, not at all. I didnt feel that last time, and I dont think Ill feel it this time. I think were a long ways from that anyway. Weve got a few months to hopefully work on that and get it taken care of. I think well be fine."Jeremiah Attaochu Womens Jersey . KEARNS, Utah -- Canadas Marianne St. Gelais cruised to victory in the opening womens 500-metre race of the season at a short-track speedskating World Cup event Sunday. St. Gelais, from St-Felicien, Que., beat runner-up Italys Martina Valcepina and American Jessica Smith in the distance she is dominant in. St. Gelais won all five World Cup events in the 500 last season as well as the silver medal at the 2010 Olympics. Meanwhile, Charles Hamelin of Ste-Julie, Que., settled for silver in the mens 500 after being passed by Britains Jon Eley on the last lap. Hamelin said he lost his right edge when Germanys Robert Seifert fell in front of him. "I wasnt feeling good after that," said Hamelin, who won gold in the mens 1,500 on Saturday. "I was just trying to hold myself onto the track and not fall. He passed me and I had no move to pass him back." Hamelin was looking forward to the next World Cup short track races in Quebec next weekend. "Its going to be good for us to be back at home with our crowd," Hamelin said. "It will pump us to win a few more medals." In the relays, Canadas mens team of Charles Hamelin, Francois Hamelin, Yellowknifes Michael Gilday and Francois-Louis Tremblay of Alma, Que., beat Britain to win gold. The womens team of St. Gelais, Jessica Hewitt of Kamloops, B.C., Valerie Maltais of La Baie, Que., and Marie-Eve Drolet of Laterriere, Que settled for fourth. Katherine Reutter of the U.S. won her second 1,500 metres World Cup gold in two days, despite being able to train only since mid-September. "Most of my coaches are stunned that anything is working for me at the moment," Reutter said after holding off South Koreas Lee Eun-byul and Chinas Li Jianrou on Sunday to win in 2 minutes, 24.005 seconds. "But whats really working well for me is that Im trying to change the way I prepare for races. I used to prepare by absolutely knowing what every other girl was going to do and what I was going to do. And thats extremely exhausting." This weekend, coaches wanted the two-time Olympic medallist and defending 1,500 world champion simply to react and be a "mental" master. www.authenticchargersshop.com/Jeremiah-Attaochu-Chargers-Jersey. . "It was half the stress and a lot less energy and I really like it," said Reutter, who is doing well to move beyond back problems that cropped up last December. "That approach is going to get me on the top more consistently." Fellow American J.R. Celski, meanwhile, ran into the same roadblock Sunday as he did Saturday -- namely a pair of South Korean teammates. On Saturday, in his first World Cup race since taking more than a year off after the Vancouver Olympics, Celski was disqualified for impeding Noh Jinkyu in the mens 1,000. Sunday, he trailed Noh and South Korean Kwak Yoon-gy in the 1,500, and tried to pass on three consecutive laps but couldnt get through. Noh won in 2:14.238 and Kwak took silver, with Celski settling for the bronze. "They skated smart," Celski said. "Its unfortunate we didnt clean up the way we wanted to at home, but it just makes us hungry for the next time." He called the races "building blocks" as he learns what he has to do against each opponent. "They skated great today," he said about the South Koreans. "I wont take anything away from them." While St. Gelais made it look easy in the womens 500, Smith had to fight hard for her bronze. She advanced out of the quarter-finals by a skate then used a quick start in the semifinals to earn a spot in the final. "I was looking at the semis as my finals and I knew I had to nail my start," Smith said. While she is the oldest member of the womens team at 28, the weekend races showed some of the rising stars. American John-Henry Krueger is just 16, and was competing in his first World Cup. He won the mens 500 C final, and had given the U.S. men the lead in the relay final only to fall after making the successful pass. "It happens to everybody," Celski said about his younger teammate. "But Im really proud of John-Henry. Hes 16 years old, coming up. Hes going to be the next kid to look out for. He has great potential." ' ' '

ANAHEIM, Calif. Jace Amaro Womens Jersey . -- When Kendrys Morales and Jered Weaver hit career milestones on the same night, Weaver celebrated by writing "1000" on a baseball and holding it up for a few silly photos. Morales celebrated by stepping gracefully on Angel Stadiums home plate with his healed left ankle. Morales hit his first homer in nearly two years and drove in four runs, and Weaver recorded his 1,000th career strikeout while pitching five-hit ball into the seventh inning of the Los Angeles Angels 6-0 victory over the Oakland Athletics on Monday night. Morales three-run homer in the first inning landed in nearly the same spot as his fateful game-ending grand slam on May 29, 2010 -- right in front of the fake rock pile beyond the Big As centre field fence. That homer nearly wrecked his career when he jumped on home plate to celebrate it, severely breaking his ankle and keeping him out of baseball for nearly two full seasons. "It had been a long time," the Cuban slugger said through a translator. "I never lost faith. I knew I could do it. I just need to keep working and do it better." Morales touched home plate with his left foot before accepting congratulations from Howie Kendrick and Albert Pujols, who singled in front of him. Morales finally returned to the Angels midway through spring training and got off to a strong start before going 1 for 18 on last weeks road trip -- a slump erased by his three-hit performance against Oakland. "I was happy he got around the bases in one piece," Angels manager Mike Scioscia said. Morales staked Weaver (2-0) to a healthy lead, and the AL Cy Young runner-up retired his first 11 batters. Weaver struck out six, rolling his career total into quadruple digits when he fanned Josh Reddick in the sixth inning. Weaver acknowledged the milestone grudgingly, saying hes "got a little bit more to go to catch the great ones." Still, he was grateful to do it in the presence of his father, who attends every home start -- and yells loudly enough for Jered to hear him on the mound. "Ive got them all in an Angel uniform, which is pretty great," Weaver said. ""Any time you can stop a little bad run and mix in a win, its good." Morales added an eighth-inning double to score Pujols, who went 2 for 4 with a double. Pujols still hasnt homered in 10 games with the Angels, but his new cleanup hitter provided plenty of power as Los Angeles opened a weeklong homestand with just its second win in six games. Reddick had two hits and Brandon McCarthy pitched into the eighth inning for the As, who have lost three straight. McCarthy (0-2) yielded 11 hits and five runs while failing in his fourth attempt to get his first win of the season. The As never climbed out of the hole he created with wayward pitches to Pujols and Morales in the first inning. "It was pretty indicative of the whole night," McCarthy said. "Every time I really wanted to throw something somewhere, I didnt throw it. I got away with a few of them, but not that one (to Morales). Just not enough quality pitches." Oakland was shut out for the third time in six games when Jemile Weeks struck out with the bases loaded in the ninth. The As have managed just 14 runs in their seven losses -- half of those in an 8-7 loss to Seattle. "We had some decent at-bats, better as we went along, and then the frustration mounts when you hit the ball right at people," Oakland manager Bob Melvin said. "Well keep going through it." Pujols has a hit in eight of his first 10 games with the Angels, but they still havent seen the fabled power they spent $240 million to acquire. Of course, Pujols had just one homer in his first 12 games in St. Louis last spring, and his season turned out splendidly. The Angels returned shortly before dawn from a 2-4 road trip that left them at 3-6 in their hugely anticipated season. After their fast start, they added three more runs in the eighth. After Morales RBI double, Chris Iannetta drew a bases-loaded walk from Andrew Carignan, who then allowed another run with a wild pitch. Los Angeles bullpen struggled mightily on the road, but three relievers capably finished up the shutout even after the Angels infield made back-to-back, two-out errors in the ninth. NOTES: Melvin said Carignan will be sent out Tuesday, and the As plan a second roster move as well. ... Oakland CF Yoenis Cespedes got his first day off of the season. ... Weaver is the eighth Angels pitcher with 1,000 strikeouts. He and his older brother, Jeff, became the sixth set of brothers in the big leagues with 1,000 strikeouts apiece. ... Carpenter Tweeted: "Stayin positive and prepared to work harder than ever to come back as soon as I can this season!" The 26-year-old right-hander appeared in 10 games for Chicago last season.CLEVELAND -- Before leaving frigid Progressive Field, Nick Swisher delivered a final message in his signature style. "Happy Bro-pening day everyone," he yelled. Swisher made the Indians home opener one to remember. Clevelands first baseman with the infectious attitude hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning, two batters after Yan Gomes connected for a solo shot, leading the Indians to a 7-2 home-opening win over the Minnesota Twins on Friday. Swishers homer off Mike Pelfrey (0-1) allowed the Indians to cap a day of pomp and pageantry as they celebrated Progressive Fields 20th anniversary. Before the sixth, the Indians had been shut out by Pelfrey and were in danger of disappointing a sellout crowd that stuck around following a 2-hour, 13-minute rain delay and plummeting temperatures. But Swisher, who added a run-scoring double in Clevelands four-run seventh, helped the Indians win their first home opener since 2008. "I was just so proud of the way the guys fought, man," Swisher said. "Maybe that will be the identity of this team -- the fact that were gonna fight. And regardless of the situation or the obstacle in front of us, were always gonna take that head-on." Indians reliever Josh Outman (1-0) recorded two outs after coming in for starter Danny Salazar in the sixth and got the win. Michael Brantley hit a two-run single in the seventh for the Indians, who were flat and hitless through four innings. But Gomes and Swisher woke the Indians up in the sixth when they finally figured out Pelfrey. "Guys were talking in the dugout and theres the fifth inning, were down 2-0, havent even gotten a hit at that point," Swisher said. "Guys were saying, Hey, we stick around long enough, were gonna get this. And thats a great feeling to have." Chris Colabello homered for the Twins, who jumped on Salazar for two runs in the first inning and were coasting toward a win when Pelfrey fell apart. "It kind of ruins the whole day, no matter how the first four innings went," Pelfrey said. "The game got away from me. It was kind of like a kick in the stomach." Gomes got things started in the sixth with his leadoff homer, a lined shot innto the centre-field bullpen to trim Minnesotas lead to 2-1. Ross Cockrell Blue Jersey. Lonnie Chisenhall walked and Nyjer Morgan sacrificed. Up came Swisher, who fell behind 0-1 before belting his homer, a towering fly pushed deeper into the right-field seats by the gusty winds. Swisher posed to watch the balls flight and then punctuated the homer by flipping his bat as he headed down the first-base line. After crossing home plate, the Ohio native saluted Clevelands crowd by raising his arms and making an "O" and then "H" an "I" and "O." It was typical Swisher -- animated and enthusiastic. "I think everybody gets a kick out of it," Indians manager Terry Francona said of Swishers theatrics. "Maybe not the other team. But I think our guys like it." Said Swisher: "Im going to be who I am." Before the game, Swisher complimented Clevelands front office for signing All-Star second baseman Jason Kipnis to a six-year, $52.5 million contract hours before the opener. "Bro, I think its awesome, so amazing," he said. "I feel that were starting to create an identity of who we are." That process began last season, when the Indians won their last 10 games to make the playoffs for the first time since 2007. They lost the wild-card game to Tampa Bay, but Cleveland entered this season with expectations to go even further this October. Until then, Swisher wants everyone to stay warm. "Everybody go home and get a hot cocoa," he said. NOTES: Cleveland has won seven straight over Minnesota. ... Kipnis signing means 16 of the 25 players on the Indians roster are signed through at least 2016. ... Twins manager Ron Gardenhire has a special fondness for Progressive Field, known as Jacobs Field for most of its history. "I love this place," he said. "Its a beautiful atmosphere with the city in the background and the dude banging on the drum out there. Not too many ballparks have fans sitting right next to your dugout in a glassed-in area offering you a beer." ... Former Indians manager Mike Hargrove threw out the ceremonial first pitch, skipping it to first-base coach Sandy Alomar, who played for Hargrove. ' ' '

MEMPHIS, Tenn. www.nflchiefsus.com/Womens-Dee-Ford-Authentic-Jersey/ . -- Zach Randolph had 23 points and 11 rebounds, six Memphis players reached double figures and the Grizzlies defeated the Golden State Warriors 108-90 on Saturday night. Randolph returned to action after leaving Wednesday nights game against New Orleans when his fiance went into labour. Zachary Jr. was born before the end of that game. Mike Conley added 20 points and six assists, Marc Gasol had 18 points and Memphis won its 10th straight over the Warriors. Mike Miller finished with 15 points, connecting on all but one of his five shots from beyond the 3-point arc. Stephen Curry, who returned after missing Friday nights loss at San Antonio with a bruised left ankle, led the Warriors with 22 points. Andre Iguodala had 19 points, hitting 8 of 10 shots. David Lee finished with 13 points and nine rebounds before fouling out in the fourth quarter. Klay Thompson scored 10 of his 12 points in the third quarter for the Warriors. Memphis dominated the inside game all night with a 54-18 advantage in the paint, outrebounding the Warriors 44-33. Memphis intent was evident early. The Grizzlies went to Randolph the first time down the floor and kept feeding him. Randolph had 10 points at the first break. Meanwhile, Curry was showing little effect of the ankle injury with nine early points. Randolph registered 14 points by the break to help Memphis to a 54-50 halftime lead. Curry had 17 for the Warriors on 5-for-10 from the field, including 3-for-6 on 3-pointers. Iguodala had 12, hitting all five of his shots in the half. The two teams stayed close early in the third period. Memphis connected on eight of its first nine shots in the period, but Thompson kept the Warriors in the game. Memphis continued to extend the lead, eventually reaching 14 and helping the Grizzlies carry a 90-77 lead into the final frame. Memphis eventually opened the advantage to 23 points in the fourth quarter, and about that point, Lee had fouled out, and Golden State coach Mark Jackson began emptying the bench. The "PGA Tour Latinoamerica" will start next year, featuring 11 tournaments that will be played in seven countries, most of them in South America but including Mexico and Puerto Rico. The tournaments will have 144-man fields consisting primarily of players from the region, although there likely will be some access for Americans who now play the mini-tours. The top players on the Latin American tour then will have access to the Nationwide Tour. "This expansion into Latin America, when combined with what the Nationwide Tour has been able to accomplish in the region in recent years, is part of the natural progression for golf which continues to grow globally," PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem said. "We see this as an opportunity to help in the further development of elite players across the region." Tournaments are to be played next year from Septembeer through December in Mexico, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Peru.http://www.nflchiefsus.com/Womens-Phillip-Gaines-Authentic-Jersey/. The Nationwide Tour already has an event in Colombia, and will have one next year in Chile. The tour still has to determine how many players from Latin America could advance to the Nationwide Tour. A decision is expected before the Latin American tour starts play. Latin America already has produced players such as two-time major champion Angel Cabrera, Andres Romero and Jose Coceres of Argentina, Camilo Villegas of Colombia, Jhonattan Vegas of Venezuela and Carlos Franco of Paraguay, who has played in the Presidents Cup. Cabrera and Romero got their starts by going to Europe, while Franco first blossomed while playing in Japan. "This potential pathway to the higher levels of professional golf is something that is an improvement for the players in the region," said Henrique Lavie, the commissioner of the Tour de las Americas. Lavie will become executive director of the new Latin American tour, which hopes to grow to 14 events by 2013. ' ' '

NEW YORK -- Brian McCann was far from panic mode. http://www.nflchiefsus.com/Womens-Phillip-Gaines-Authentic-Jersey/ . He was hitting the ball well, and figured positive results would follow. Still, he enjoyed seeing his drives wind up in the seats instead of someones glove. McCann put an emphatic end to his season-opening slump, hitting his first two home runs for the New York Yankees to help beat John Lackey and the Boston Red Sox 7-4 Saturday. "I was pleased about my at-bats today," McCann said. Carlos Beltran, Alfonso Soriano and Kelly Johnson also connected as the Yankees scored all their runs on homers. Lackey was tagged for a career-high four home runs in 5 2-3 innings. New York has won two of three in a series that wraps up Sunday night. A.J. Pierzynski hit his first home run for the Red Sox. After striking out in the first inning and dropping his batting average to .158, McCann quickly reversed his fortunes. The seven-time All-Star who left Atlanta to sign an $85 million, five-year deal with the Yankees led off the fourth with a liner into the first row of the second deck in right field. McCann hurried around the bases, and fans were still cheering when Soriano followed with his third home run of the week. Beltran opened the sixth with a double and McCann homered to right-centre. It was the catchers 10th career multihomer game. "Ive been seeing the ball pretty well to be hitting in the hundreds," McCann said. As for any concerns about a slow start, he said, "I dont look at it that way." The Red Sox have been shifting on McCann during this series, moving an extra infielder onto the right side once they get a strike on him. Facing Lackey for the first time, McCann made moot any shift. "Hes hit the ball better than his numbers indicated," Yankees manager Joe Girardi said. "I was not really concerned about it. I know hes going to hit," he said. Girardi said he assumed the short right-field fence and the jet stream that carries the ball in that direction would benefit the lefty-hitting McCann. "It showed up today," Girardi said. Hiroki Kuroda (2-1) pitched into the seventh, and reliever Matt Thornton gave up Mike Carps two-run single that made it 6-4. With runners at the corners, Carp was caught stealing for the third out. Shawn Kelley pitched a perfect ninth for his second save. Lackey (2-1) threw plenty of strikes, but gave up 10 hits. He walked none, fanned six and missed a chance to get off to a 3-0 start for the first time in his career. Jacoby Ellsbury bunted for a two-out single in the first and Beltran homered on an 0-2 pitch right down the middle. Lackey was already stalking toward the plate to get a new ball from the umpire before Beltran reached second base. "I just left it over the plate. It wasnt a very good pitch, up in the zone. One of those Id like to have back, for sure," Lackey said. Johnson hit his third homer in the eighth. NOTES: Soriano had played only one inning in right field during his career -- in the 2003 World Series, in fact -- before starting there in this game. He made an error on the first chance he got, dropping a soft fly by Xander Bogaerts. ... The Yankees hit back-to-back homers for the first time since last June 6. ... Red Sox CF Grady Sizemore didnt start, a day after his big three-run homer beat the Yankees. Yankees 1B Mark Teixeira (strained right hamstring) said his recovery is going well. Hes eligible to come off the DL next weekend and Girardi said hed be surprised if Teixeira isnt back on time. ... Washington has played its last two games without the NHLs goal-scoring leader. The winger has 35 goals on the season and is battling a lower-body injury. TSNs John Lu reports that Ovechkin did extensive one-timers at end of his session at Saturdays morning skate. Lu reports that if Ovechkin feels good in the afternoon and during pre-game skate he should play. You can listen to the action on TSN Radio 690 beginning at 7pm et. Both clubs will be looking to snap losing streaks on Saturday night as each wraps up games on back-to-back nights. The Capitals are in the midst of a seven-game skid, dropping the last five in regulation. That has Washington now four points back of the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference. Montreal is on a less-damaging three-game slide and also has lost six of its past nine. That has left the Canadiens tied with the Toronto Maple Leafs for third place in the Atlantic Division and six points behind the co-leading Boston Bruins and Tampa Bay Lightning. Montreal is set to play two straight and six of its next seven at home after getting outscored 14-5 in losing the final three contests of a four-game road trip. The Canadiens capped the swing last night with a 4-1 setback in Detroit. Brendan Gallagher picked up the lone goal for the Canadiens, but Carey Price made just 22 saves in the setback. "Everyone is still confident in each other, its just a matter of getting to little details of the game and once you do that, the wins will start to come," Gallagher said Montreal is on iits longest losing streak since dropping a season-high four in a row from Nov. nflchiefsus.com/Womens-Dee-Ford-Authentic-Jersey/. 1-7 and saw Alexei Emelin depart in the latter stages of the third period on Friday night after getting hit by a shot. Things dont get any easier for the Habs in the opener of this residency as they have lost six in a row and nine of their last 12 at home to the Capitals. The Capitals were shut out 2-0 by Ottawa in their first game without Ovechkin on Tuesday, then dropped a 2-1 decision to the hosting New Jersey Devils to begin a five-game trip on Friday night. Jason Chimera provided the lone offense for the Capitals, but it didnt come until there was 9:50 left in the game. Washington has been held to one goal or fewer six times over its losing streak and is just 1-for-24 on the power play in the last eight games. Michael Neuvirth played well in defeat, making 28 saves, but the Caps failed to take advantage of the chances they had. "We had three short-handed breakaways and we didnt score," Caps coach Adam Oates lamented. "(Devils goaltender Cory Schneider) held them in and made the saves when he needed to. We made saves, too. You need execution, and the mistakes are not blatant, but its still the NHL and you get burned." Washington, on its longest losing streak since an 0-6-2 drought from Dec. 2-18, 2010, also lost center Mikhail Grabovski to a lower-body injury during the second period and he did not return. He will be a game-time decision against Montreal. The clubs split two meetings earlier this season in Washington, with the Caps winning their game in a shootout, and the Canadiens have lost nine of their last 11 overall in this series. ' ' '

PITTSBURGH -- Tanner Glass started every game for the Pittsburgh Penguins in the regular season, his grit providing the fourth line with a rugged presence to take some of the heat off superstars Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin. nfljetsus.com/Womens-Shaq-Evans-Authentic-Jersey/ . Playing time has proven more difficult in the post-season. Glass has watched six of Pittsburghs last seven games from the press box. Its an ego-testing vantage point for a player who helped the Vancouver Canucks to the Stanley Cup Final two years ago. Glass is healthy. Hes just not a part of coach Dan Bylsmas plan at the moment. Such is both the blessing and the curse of playing for the leagues most talent-laden roster. "You look at the lineup, you cant say, I should be in ahead of this guy or that guy," Glass said. "On this team, weve got such a deep team and such a great group of players, youve just got to stay ready." Hardly an issue these days for the Penguins, who have roared into the Eastern Conference finals against Boston on the strength of their stars and a supporting cast that is showing Pittsburgh is hardly just "The Crosby Show." The Penguins currently have eight players in the top 20 in post-season scoring through the first two rounds. Sure, Malkin and Crosby are doing their thing -- combining for 31 points through 11 games -- but Pittsburgh is also receiving instant offence from the plug-and-play guys toward the bottom of the depth chart. Forwards Tyler Kennedy, Joe Vitale, Beau Bennett, Jussi Jokinen and Brenden Morrow have joined Glass as healthy scratches. All five have found ways to respond when they see their number written on the dry erase board following a game-day skate. Kennedy came off the bench to spark a win in Game 5 of the first-round series with the New York Islanders and hasnt missed a game since. Vitale missed the first four games of the New York series but produced an assist for his first NHL playoff point in Game 5. Morrow didnt dress for a playoff game for the first time in his 13-year career in Game 4 against Ottawa, then responded with the opening goal in the series clincher two nights later. Bylsma downplays the suggestion that he has a sixth sense for when a role player is "due." Whenever he shakes things up, its more based on scouting and matchups than gut instinct. Of course, theres also the simple luxury of having guys battling for time on the fourth line who would be top-six forwards elsewhere. "We have good players that are not in the lineup," Bylsma said. "When we inserted (Vitale) into the first-round series, his skill set ... his speed was something we thought we needed, and he made an immediate impact when he came into that series." Still, it did little to ensure more playing time for Vitale. He sat out the final three games of the Ottawa series while Bylsma went with the likes of Jokinen, a better two-way player and an experienced faceoff man. Vitale didnt let the benching bother him. Maybe because it didnt feel like a benching. He understands Bylsmas job is to win the Stanley Cup, not to make Vitale feel better. Some games, that means Vitale will be in the lineup. Others, it means hell wear a nice suit and watch from the top of the arena. "Its just a different atmosphere," Vitale said. "Youre just pulling for the guy next to you. If Jussi goes in for me, Im sitting up above and I really want him to be at the very best he can be. When you win and youre in the locker room and youre not sweating, youre just as happy as the guys who are. Thats just the kind of environment it is right now." Jokinen and Morrow both came over in trade deadline deals meant to bolster the Penguins for a Cup run. Jokinen recorded 11 points in 10 games while filling in on the top line for Crosby at the end of the regular season as Crosby recovered from a broken jaw. Even that didnt stop Jokinen from sitting out five playoff games. While he may have been slowed by an injury, he also lost out to a hot hand in Vitale. When Vitale went cold, Jokinen found himself right back on the ice without so much as a word from Bylsma. "If you want to win Cups, thats how it has to be," Jokinen said. "We have 16 forwards and nine really good NHL defencemen on this team. Not everybody can play every night." The ones that do, however, have fueled a team that is 8-3 in the post-season while averaging 4.27 goals per game, a full goal ahead of everybody else. Sure, a potent power play helps. So does having Olympic gold medallists (Morrow), 30-goal scorers (Jokinen) and Cup winners (Kennedy) fighting for playing time. Dont expect Bylsma to change his methods anytime soon. While Kennedy and Morrow will likely be fixtures against the Bruins, the same cant be said for Jokinen, Vitale or Bennett. Bylsma will pick and choose as he goes along, trying to decipher what his team needs in a given moment. His touch has been golden so far. And the players say they can deal with the uncertainty if it leads to a championship. "Weve got a great group of extras who have gone in and out," Vitale said. "Theyve made plays when theyre in, and theyve kept guys up when theyre out. ... Weve really just removed all selfishness. This isnt an individual thing. This is a group thing." Shaq Evans Womens Jersey . "Atlantic is ours," read the shirts, delivered by the league that afternoon. Moments earlier they learned that, for the second time in franchise history, the Raptors will be crowned division champions, also earning home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs. http://www.nfljetsus.com/Womens-Dexter-McDougle-Authentic-Jersey/ . Judges Clark Sammartino of the United States and Paul Thomas of Britain scored it 114-111 and 115-110 for Abraham, respectively, while American Michael Pernick judged it 113-112 in favour of the defending champion. With just two days until the NHL Trade Deadline, check out the latest trade-related reports and speculation from around the NHL beat. And follow TSN.ca right through Deadline Day for all the updates. Getting Creative The Pittsburgh Penguins will try their best to acquire Ryan Kesler from the Vancouver Canucks before the Trade Deadline. According to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger, Penguins GM Ray Shero will do everything he can to trade for Kesler by Wednesdays deadline. Dreger reports the Penguins arent the only team showing interest in the veteran centre, however, with the Detroit Red Wings, Columbus Blue Jackets, and New York Rangers also showing interest. Among other topics Dreger touched on was Rangers forward Ryan Callahans softening contract demands and the several veterans that could be on the move before Wednesdays deadline. Surprise Trade Piece Despite not playing a game since late November, Dallas Stars defenceman Stephane Robidas may still be a hot commodity at the Trade Deadline. Dreger tweeted that the veteran blueliner, who has been out with a broken leg, is garnering interest. Robidas, 37, could be back by mid-March, according to Dreger. Netminder Insurance Heading to the playoffs, the Minnesota Wild may be looking for some insurance for rookie goaltender Darcy Kuemper. TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun of ESPN.com reports that Ryan Miller isnt likely to be the only goalie moved before the deadline, and New Jersey Devils veteran netminder Martin Brodeur could be a perfect fit for the Wild. The Wild need another goalie wiith Niklas Backstrom battling injuries and Josh Harding out indefinitely after his MS flared up, and Brodeur could be receptive to a move to Minnesota where his son plays high school hockey and good friend Zach Parise on the team. Authentic Jalen Saunders Jersey. Keeping Pace In light of the St. Louis Blues acquisition of goalie Ryan Miller, several of the Blues rivals in the Western Conference could make moves to keep pace with the team. According to Jim Matheson of the Edmonton Journal, teams like the Chcago Blackhawks, San Jose Sharks, Los Angeles Kings, and Anaheim Ducks could be looking to add talent as well. Names floating around for those teams include Thomas Vanek, Matt Moulson, Tyler Myers, and Andrew MacDonald. Landing Spots Matheson also took a look at the Edmonton Oilers and where some of their tradable assets may wind up. Forwards Ales Hemsky and Ryan Smyth could be on the move while defenceman Nick Schultz may also be traded. Schultz is one of several defencemen Matheson reports the Boston Bruins are looking at, with others including MacDonald, Chris Phillips, and Andrej Meszaros. Pressing Forward Despite not being in a playoff spot as of Monday, the Ottawa Senators are expected to be buyers at the Trade Deadline. Senators owner Eugene Melnyk said during Sundays Heritage Classic that his team is definitely not going to be sellers this season. John Vogl of the Buffalo News reports that recently acquired forward Chris Stewart is a candidate to be flipped to the Senators before the deadline. ' ' '

CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The Pirates are one win away from hosting a playoff game. www.authenticbillsshop.com/Cyrus-Kouandjio-Bills-Jersey . Marlon Byrd had three hits and Pedro Alvarez hit a two-run homer high off the batters eye on Friday night, leading Pittsburgh over the Cincinnati Reds 4-1 in a series that will decide which one hosts the NL wild-card game. Both teams clinched post-season berths this week. The Pirates chances of winning the NL Central ended later Friday night when St. Louis beat the Cubs 7-0 to clinch the title. So now it comes down to the wild-card playoff next Tuesday night, and the Pirates are one win away from taking it to PNC Park. Nice way to start a decisive series. "Its huge," Byrd said. "We want to get that one-game playoff in Pittsburgh." Byrd and Alvarez provided all of the Pirates runs off Homer Bailey (11-12), who is struggling with his control heading into the post-season. A.J. Burnett (10-11) handled the Reds slumping lineup, allowing Todd Fraziers homer and five hits overall in eight innings. Jason Grilli gave up a hit in the ninth while getting his 33rd save in 35 chances. "It gives us some momentum, no doubt about that," manager Clint Hurdle said. "When you pretty much dominate through eight innings, it sparks everybody. Thats what we were looking for from him." Cincinnati has lost three straight and scored one run in the last 22 innings. "Once I got that (homer), I thought we might get a spark going, but we couldnt find it," Frazier said. The bruising, tight-as-could-be series has gone up and down the Ohio River all summer long with neither team able to get much advantage. The Pirates lead the series 9-8. Fourteen of the 17 games have been decided by three runs or less. Batters have been plunked 26 times during the season series, most in the majors this year. Its the biggest series between them since 1990, when the Reds beat Barry Bonds and the Pirates to reach the World Series, where they swept Oakland for their last title. The Pirates got the early advantage in this decisive series by beating Bailey, who threw the first of his two no-hitters at PNC Park on Sept. 28 last year. Since then, hes failed to beat the Pirates in four starts, going 0-3. Control has been a problem lately. He helped the Pirates load the bases in the third on a hit batter and a pair of walks, and Byrd -- an August trade acquisition from the Mets -- singled through the hole at shortstop for a 2-0 lead. Byrd doubled off the top of the wall in centre field to open the sixth, and Alvarez hit his 35th homer high off the batters eye for a 4-1 lead that ended Baileys outing. He gave up four runs, four hits, four walks, hit two batters and threw a wild pitch. "Any time you can get separation in the lead against a team like the Reds, its huge," Alvarez said. "Thats why we were all pretty excited. You can never have too much breathing room with those guys." Burnett handled Cincinnatis slumping lineup, retiring the last 10 batters he faced. Frazier hit his 19th homer off the screen on the left-field foul pole in the fourth, ending Cincinnatis streak of 16 scoreless innings. Burnett also beat the Reds and Bailey 4-2 last Saturday at PNC Park, allowing only four hits and fanning 12 in seven innings. He followed that outing by getting the Pirates off to the start they wanted at Great American Ball Park. "Anytime you come into somebody elses house in the first game, you want to do that," Burnett said. "It just happens to be an important part of the season." Joey Votto singled twice, surpassing Pete Roses club record of reaching base 311 times in a season. NOTES: The Reds wore their Los Rojos jerseys to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. ... Hurdle will change his starting pitcher on Sunday if nothings at stake. RH Gerrit Cole (10-7) is scheduled to go against RH Johnny Cueto (5-2). Hurdle would keep Cole available as insurance for the wild-card game on Tuesday. ... Alvarezs homer gave him 99 RBIs. ... Reds manager Dusty Baker doesnt plan to use LH Tony Cingrani in relief during the series. Cingrani is recovering from his second bout of back spasms. ... Bronson Arroyo (14-11) starts on Saturday against Pittsburghs Charlie Morton (7-4). Morton has given up only one run in his last three starts at Great American Ball Park, throwing two complete games. According to the Los Angeles Times, the Chicago Cubs dealt minor league outfield Trevor Gretzky to the Angelss for catcher Matt Scioscia. authenticbillsshop.com/Cyrus-Kouandjio-Bills-Jersey. The Cubs have yet to confirm the deal. Gretzky, son of the "The Great One," has a .280 batting average with one home run in 250 at-bats as a 21-year-old. Scioscia, 25, is hitting .222 over three minor league seasons. ' ' '

GOODYEAR, Ariz. Cheap nfl Jerseys . -- Clevelands Jason Giambi will be sidelined for about three-to-four weeks with a broken rib in his right side. Giambi was hit by a pitch thrown by Edwin Jackson of the Chicago Cubs in the third inning of a March 7 game. X-rays at the time were negative, but Cleveland said Thursday the 43-year-old Giambi had felt increased discomfort over previous five days. "As he continued to show tenderness, we got him an MRI yesterday," manager Terry Francona said. "We treat the symptoms. He will be down for a number of days without activity, just getting treatment. Then when the symptoms are better, we can start getting him into activities. Then we can get him into baseball activities." The 2000 AL MVP, Giambi is a non-roster invitee to big league training camp. The designated hitter hopes to play in his 20th major league season and second with the Indians. Giambi has been hit by 179 pitches during the regular season, 11th on the career list. "I kind of knew. It was a cutter in it hit me just under the pad," said Giambi, who picked the ball up and flipped the it to Jackson. "I didnt want him to think it hurt." Giambi probably will not make the opening-day roster, but the Indians are hoping he will rebound and be in position to join the big league team later. "It is why you try to evaluate everybody, because if you need a plan B or a plan C, you have it," Francona said. Giambi is optimistic he will be back soon. "Its not tragic.
