The bottom line for Doug Pederson after Sunday's close call against the New York Giants: the Philadelphia Eagles got the win.

Down 20-7 with 13:44 remaining in the second quarter, the Eagles outscored the Giants 27-9 the rest of the way to prevent the upset. This was a challenge the Eagles needed, facing adversity when it wasn't their day.

Playing Carson Wentz Womens Jersey poor against a playoff-caliber team Russell Wilson Jersey Womens in the early stages of the game will give the Eagles an early exit, but Philadelphia isn't going to roll over and play dead.

"The beauty of it is, we were in a dogfight," Pederson said. "We needed to be in a dogfight the other day. I talk about starting fast every week offensively, defensively and special teams. Obviously we didn't start fast enough on defense. It was that wake-up call.

"It's going to happen. Listen, it's going to happen. Offense might be sluggish and the defense has to step up. Last week it was the offense coming through. That's the beauty of football and team sports. But we were in a dogfight. We figured out how to win the game."

The Eagles defense allowed 504 yards and 29 points, yet still found a way to make a 4th-and-goal stop with under a minute remaining to preserve the victory. Philadelphia is 5-1 in one score games this season, finding ways to win the close games along with sending a team packing at halftime.

"It shows character, grit, determination, and the ability to pull out a game in the fourth quarter...things we've talked about all season with this football team and what we've learned from a year ago," Pederson said regarding the close games. "Really understanding what's at stake for us and what's on the line. Just bearing down and doing your job and finding a Jarvis Landry Womens Jersey way (to win).

"Sometimes as ugly or as sloppy as it can be, you figure it out, and you finally get the win."

Sunday's performance against the Giants was ugly, but the Eagles did win the football game. The first 16:16 of that football game was the wake-up call the Eagles needed.

"Listen, they started faster than we did. That's the bottom line," Pederson said. "Yet we rebounded, had a great second half, and outscored them offensively. Special teams stepped up with the three blocks, which was obviously huge, and we found out what our team was made of."
